Félicité Tomlinson, the 18-year-old sister of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, has died at age 18, USA TODAY has confirmed.
AnnMarie Thomson, a representative for the British pop star, confirmed the reports.
According to The Sun, Félicité collapsed Wednesday afternoon at her fourth-floor studio apartment in West London. The social media influencer, who had 1.3 million followers on Instagram, last posted on Sunday March 10, sharing a selfie shot of herself looking into the mirror on the floor of her London apartment.
“Don’t know why I look so shocked,” she wrote in the caption.
The tragic news comes two years after the death of the siblings’ mother, Johanna Deakin, who died at age 43 following a battle with cancer. Louis, who was slated to perform at BBC Red Nose Day charity concert on Friday, has yet to release a comment.
At the concert, Tomlinson had planned to perform his new song “Two of Us,” written as tribute to his late mother and released a week ago.
Tomlinson told BBC Radio that the emotional song was “something I needed to get off my chest” and explained how difficult it was to play for his three sisters, including Félicité, because he didn’t want them to “caught up in the sadness of it.”
Sample lyrics from the song:
You’ll never know how much I miss you
The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead
But you once told me, “Don’t give up
You can do it day by day”
And diamonds, they don’t turn to dust or fade away
So I will keep you day and night, here until the day I die
I’ll be living one life for the two of us
I will be the best of me, always keep you next to me
